Mission:

Exposing youth to various cultures through food, travel, and multi-media and the arts. OMO provides opportunities for youth to interact with people from different cultures by traveling to various destinations, sampling and learning about national foods, and having conversations around customs and traditions. Youth use different forms of media and artistic expression to share their learnings with others - creating ripples in their families, communities, and the world.

Guiding Principles:

With respect for differences at its core, OMO believes in one-on-one connections regardless of cultural background; being oneself while adapting to every situation; sharing life experiences as an educational tool; and giving of oneself to another person or community in need.

It is our belief that young people must be developed into citizens with a healthy understanding and respect for the different peoples around the world -- a world in which they will grow to inherit and increasingly have to maneuver as they enter adulthood.
